Wow... this is pretty crazy to realize, but, the 8th and final Avon Walk for 2005 is just about a week away (October 1&2)!! I can't believe it!

Anyway... some related details/info

1) Carbo loading dinner on Friday, September 30th... back to Becco this year. They have a great fixed price "Sinfonia di Pasta" for $21.95 as well as an a la carte menu. They also have a pretty extensive $25 wine list.

I've made a reservation for 15 people for 8:00 on September 30. PLEASE let me know ASAP if you would like to come. If we get more than 15 people, I'll ask people in groups to make some additional reservations, I think this should work out okay, but, would probably have to be done soon.

2) If you want to come out and walk a bit or cheer the walkers on, you can find more information about the opening and closing ceremonies and cheering stations along the route here:

Victoria is coming all the way up from Florida... you local folks have it much easier! ;)

3) I'm getting ready to order the shirts I'll wear for this last walk. If you've made a donation in honor of someone, please check here to see if their name is on the list of people I'm walking for. If it's not, please let me know ASAP so I can add them to the site and to my shirt. I'll need this info by the end of the day Saturday, when I intend to order the shirts.

4) It's not too late to still make a donation if you have someone you'd like to donate in honor of. I'm 69% of the way to my $25,000 goal!

5) (Sort of) speaking of shirts... Cafepress is highlighting breast cancer awareness items in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month next month. If you order something from their "highlights", they donate $1 to the American Cancer Society. A couple of my items are featured... squish a boob, save a life and bald is beautiful. Of course, every purchase from my store includes a donation to the walks.

7) There are still more auctions coming up... the next wave of bears will go live on 9/27 with another wave in October. I also have bracelets, a painting, chocolate and other items that will also be available... stay tuned. ;)

8) If you've been doing fundraising for the cause, now is the time to get your donations in! You can do it with a straight donation on my avon page (http://www.avonwalk.org/lisaspo) or, if you've raised $250, you can make your donation with a purchase in this section of the store to get something that shows off your fundraising chops. :) (Actually, if you'd like a shirt or totebag with any other different design on the front and the "I raised $250" message on the back, just let me know and I'll put it together for you. :))
