Finally went for a walk. I've been so busy and traveling so much that I haven't taken a proper walk in a while. I was at work pretty late and around 8:00 my plan to walk home started getting less and less appealing. I was beat and decided to be *really* lazy and take a cab home.
But then I realized I really wanted to walk and told the cab driver to just drop me at Columbus Circle... that would leave me about a mile and a half to walk home. And when we stopped at the southwest corner of Central Park, I told him to just drop me there... which added another 1/2 mile.
It was an *awesome* night for walking. It finally stopped raining... it was cool, but, not cold... enough people out to keep it interesting, but, not so many they annoyed me.
I walked across Central Park South and straight up Broadway. Stopped at Barnes & Noble to pick up a couple books... smiled (but didn't gawk!) at Michael Moore, who was going into a restaurant... got a free pass to see Van Helsing... refrained from actually squealing from seeing the flowers starting to bloom in the islands in the middle of Broadway... took a couple pictures. Eventful! :)
I'm going to try to walk to work at least once a week and from work at least once a week. I'm feeling *way* not ready for the Walk... definitely have to pick up the training soon!
