Randomer and Randomer...

Okay, lots of good bears in the past couple of weeks... in three not-at-all-related batches... :)

Last weekend, went with Laura to go see one of the last performances of "The Light in the Piazza." I'd been wanting to go for awhile and I was so glad I finally got to see it before it closed. Really enjoyed it. :)

Laura is actually friends with Victoria Clark's brother, so, we got to go backstage briefly to meet her, which was very cool. She was very nice... and so amazing in the show. We also hit the stagedoor and got Michael Berresse and Aaron Lazar to sign as well. Talked to Michael a bit about the upcoming "A Chorus Line," which I'm so excited about... he's in rehearsals for it already and says it's going to be "awesome!" Hee! It was fun meeting Aaron, too, because in the show he's this Italian guy who can barely speak English, but, he's really this guy from Jersey. Very nice and friendly. :)

This weekend, headed down to Baltimore to see my dad and check out Shore Leave. Even though Marlo had gotten me a bunch of people at Shore Leave before (with photos!) I really, really wanted to make sure I got photos of Amanda Tapping and Jamie Bamber, and was worried it wouldn't work out at the autograph sessions, so, I bought photo ops with them and just had them take them with the bear instead of me. :)

As we were walking back from the photos with Amanda, my dad and I saw Carmen Argenziano... which was a thrill since one of the other main reasons I wanted to go was to meet him and thank him. See, I'd never met him before, but, thanks to two of my bear volunteers at two separate conventions, he's signed two bears in the past! So, I'd printed out both of his pictures and brought them with a thank you to give to him. When I saw him, I just went up to him and introduced myself and thanked him and he was very sweet and said to let him know if he could do anything else and gave me a big hug. :)

Corin Nemec wasn't one of the "headliners," I guess, so, his autograph wasn't included in the weekend pass. But, when I went up to him and asked if he had any discounts for autographs for charity, he smiled, grabbed the bear and signed away. :)

There was a bit of confusion with the autographs from Amanda and Connor... there were more than 1,000 people there and they'd only gotten through about 700 in the 2 hours allotted for autographs and I wasn't going to be there Sunday, so, it wasn't looking good for me.... I feel bad because I was actually a little bitchy with a couple of people about it, but, ultimately, a very nice guy working the autograph line let me go ahead at the end so I could get the bears (and glove!) signed. While I was waiting for Amanda, Marlo went ahead and got Connor (who, bless his heart, was miserably sick). And, after, I actually looked for some of the people I'd been bitchy to to apologize, but, couldn't find them. :(

So, all told, I got bears signed by Amanda Tapping, Jamie Bamber, Corin Nemec and Connor Trinneer... I got a glove signed by Amanda and Carmen Argenziano... I got to meet and thank Carmen and William Schallert... I got to geek out with my dad... hang out with Marlo, David and Mark.... and meet Edith, who'd won the Carmen bear last year, and Jan, who's a friend of Jess's! All in all, a very good day.

Last but not least! At Shore Leave, Marlo gave me a little envelope with a bunch of tags that she'd gotten over the past few months while she was in the city... and a disposable camera with a couple of pictures on it... Ally Sheedy and Kathryn Erbe. Yay Marlo! :)
